ANNOUNCEMENTS
Molly

We would like to welcome the newest addition to our sales horse program – a 13 hand FEI level dressage pony.  Molly is an eleven year old registered BWP Belgium Riding Pony.  She is a proven broodmare with beautiful movement and a very sweet disposition.  Molly has shown Prix St. George on the Florida circuit and is currently schooling piaffe, passage, and 2 tempis.  Molly is well suited for a child or small adult rider and rides larger than her 13 hand size.  Please note, there will be no pictures of Matt riding Molly.  The fact that her registered name is “Dragon’s Lair Pink Perfection” provides sufficient entertainment.  For further information on Molly see the “horses” section of our website or contact us at info@matt-mclaughlin.com.

QUARTER'S HIGHLIGHTS

The loss of our beloved stallion Del Amor was a tragic beginning to the winter.  Your kind words and accountings of your memories with Del Amor were greatly appreciated and helped us to remember what a special horse he truly was.

Matt, Pecos, and Coral finished out 2009 with an appearance at the “Holiday with Horses” Charity benefit for the St. Francis House Pet Care Clinic in Ocala, Florida.  While our resident grinch, Coral, performed his ever popular swing/western act, Pecos agreed to be more festive.  His Garoccha act performed with a candy cane pole to holiday music by the fabulous Trans-Siberian Orchestra put everyone in the holiday spirit - Andalusian style.  Even Matt was convinced to wear a Santa hat; pictures of which will be saved and used as blackmail material at a later date.

In January, Matt and Heather were accepted into the USDF “L” education program which starts in April 2010.  This program is over a year long and is the beginning of the USDF judges program.  Matt has already started on the program’s ambitious reading list.  So far, Matt have found “Tug of War: Classical versus Modern Dressage” by Gerd Heuschmann to be an excellent read and relevant for all levels of dressage riders.
